Innohome is now searching for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join the R&D unit in Espoo. The team is responsible for the development of Innohome’s safety products such as Innohome Stove Guards. Innohome’s Stove Guard is a state-of-the-art fire safety technology which is designed to prevent kitchen fires earlier than any other safety device. Currently there are over 500.000 Innohome Stove Guards installed to protect kitchens around the world.

As an Embedded Software Engineer you’ll participate in designing and developing Innohome’s safety products software and algorithms. You’ll also be involved in testing activities such as unit and integration testing as well as design and implementing completely new features. In addition to this depending on your skills and interest you’ll also get to contribute to product development of Innohomes other products such as Charlie Electric Vehicle Charging Stations as well. However, your main focus will be working with their main product Stove Guard.

You may be the talent we are looking for if you already have previous experience working with C and you enjoy both designing and development tasks. Most importantly you are excited about working with embedded software and you are always eager to develop the product as well your skills even further. In this position you’ll be working closely with the whole R&D team, so good team working skills are also valued.

We hope you have:

• Previous experience from embedded backend development with C
• Experience from Bash shell scripting
• Relevant studies in software development/engineering
• Analytical mindset and motivation for product development
• Fluent skills in English

We consider as an asset:

• Experience maintaining test automation frameworks (e.g. Robot framework)
• Previous experience working with technologies like Python, Docker and Makefile
• Knowledge from nRF52 SoC, Nordic nRF5 SDK and Softdevice BLE stack
• Fluent skills in Finnish

In this position you will be employed directly by Innohome. The office is located in Polaris Business Park, Espoo. Innohome offers a flexible working model but due to teamwork, most of the work takes place in the office. The candidate should be based in Finland, as we do not offer relocation.
