Installation
The Innohome EVO Stove Guard comes with comprehensive and simple installation options. The product consists of a Sensor Unit, a Control Unit and two different brackets to mount the Sensor Unit either to cooker hood/ceiling or on the wall.
The Control Unit needs to be installed by a professional electrician. It can be installed as 3-, 2- or 1-phase.
The Sensor Unit and Control Unit are factory-paired. The factory setup is for induction stove (max. 60 cm wide) and Sensor mounted to cooker hood. These settings are easily changed with a mobile App or with a one-button interface.
The Innohome Stove Guard is compatible with all electric stove types (induction, cast iron & ceramic) and even up to 90 cm cooktop width.
Use and maintenance
The Innohome EVO Stove Guard is easy to use. The Sensor unit measures the temperature on top of the cooktop and gives a warning signal if a potentially dangerous situation occurs. If the warning is not acknowledged, the Innohome EVO alarms, sends a radio signal to the Control Unit, which then switches off the power to the cooktop. When the cooktop has cooled down to a safe temperature, press the Sensor button and the cooktop is ready for use again.
The device works quietly in the background and can also be used easily by special user groups. The sensitivity level is set up according to the kitchen set up, so nuisance alarms interfering with cooking can be minimized.
The EVO Stove Guard reacts before there are flames. Ordinary smoke and fire alarms are not recommended for use in the kitchen. They are only capable of alarming the user, not preventing fire, and will often give false alarms due to burned food. The Innohome Stove Guard works before flames form, and prevents fire even when you are not present or otherwise unable to switch off the power.
