Sensor Unit
The Sensor Unit monitors the temperatures above the cooktop and alerts the users to potential fire hazards using both light and sound signals. If the situation does not improve, the unit triggers an alarm and sends a signal to the Control Unit, which then cuts off the power supply to the cooktop.
The heat sensor (Sensor Unit) is supplied with two different mounting brackets, both included in the sales package:
- One bracket is designed for installation on a cooker hood or ceiling
- The other is intended for wall mounting.
Both brackets feature strong adhesive tape for easy attachment to the cooker hood, ceiling, or wall surface. Additionally, the brackets include screw holes for optional screw mounting.

Control Unit
The Control Unit is typically installed by a qualified electrician. However, for certain markets, models equipped with a Perilex plug are available, allowing plug & play –installation option.
The Control Unit is connected to the cooktop’s power supply and is usually installed behind the appliance, in the plinth space, or inside a kitchen cabinet. It is not visible to the user during normal operation.
When the Sensor Unit detects a fire hazard, it sends a signal to the Control Unit, which then cuts off the power supply to the cooktop to prevent further danger.
